Villa 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool drew with Villa today after Torres went off during the first half with a hamstring injury. He will have a scan tomorrow to find out how long he’ll be out for. There were pretty much no chances for either team but Keane could have had a penalty after a tackle from a Villa defender. Liverpool are now second in the table with the same amount of points as Chelsea who also drew.

You can see some more pictures, watch some interviews and read more about the game today on the BBC website.

Villa v Liverpool

Liverpool drawn with Atletico

Liverpool make the group stages

On wednesday night, Liverpool beat Standard Liege 1-0 at Anfield after Dirk Kuyt scored the winner in the second half of extra time. It was goal-less until the substitute Ryan Babel made a brilliant cross for Kuyt to knock the ball in at the far post.

Liverpool v Standard Liege

Liege come to Anfield tonight for the deciding qualifier game which will put one team out of the Champions League. Liverpool have no injuries but probably will not use Mascherano or Lucas as they have just returned from Beijing.

You can watch the game live on ITV 1 from 8:00pm tonight.

Liverpool beat unlucky Middlesbrough

Mido got the first goal of the match for Middlesbrough but a rare goal from Carragher and a great late goal from Gerrard won the game for Liverpool. A goalless first half passed with few chances but with Liverpool having the greater share of the possession. The second half saw Mido score a screamer from long range, Carragher get a shot deflected into the back of the net and Gerrard score with a brilliant shot in the dying seconds. Liverpool get 3 points as Middlesbrough go home disappointed. HAHA! Losers! Just joking, I’ll rephrase that – unlucky.
