4-0!!!!!! Madrid got thrashed! Liverpool were incredible. Goals from Torres, Gerrard (x2) and Dossena easily seal a place in the Quarter Finals of the Champions League.

Liverpool qualified for the knock-out stages of the Champions league on Tuesday night by topping the group with a comfortable win over PSV. PSV scored first with a goal that came from a corner that should never have been. Babel equalised before the break, though, with a header from Lucas’ freekick. Riera then scored an amazing goal in the 2nd half before Ngog scored to finish the game off. Keane played really well but didn’t score. Loads of young players played including Jay Spearing, Martin Kelly and Stephen Darby.

The last time Liverpool played Marseilles in France, Torres scored a brilliant goal as just one of the 4 goals Liverpool scored against them without return. Mascherano may not play as he limped off at the Man U game. Gerrard and Torres may still not be 100% fit.

On wednesday night, Liverpool beat Standard Liege 1-0 at Anfield after Dirk Kuyt scored the winner in the second half of extra time. It was goal-less until the substitute Ryan Babel made a brilliant cross for Kuyt to knock the ball in at the far post.
