5-0!!!!!!!!!!! Gerrard scored a hatrick and Kuyt and Riera also scored one each. Liverpool played amazingly like they have done in the last 3 games. We’re now second – one point behind united with the best goal difference in the league.

Liverpool made it through to the 4th round of the FA Cup on 3 January. Riera scored first in the second half before Torres finished Preston off in the final minute of the game. Liverpool will now face Everton in the next round on 25 January.

Liverpool eased to victory against Bolton on Boxing day. Liverpool had around 70% of the possession as Riera scored once and Keane scored twice.

Liverpool qualified for the knock-out stages of the Champions league on Tuesday night by topping the group with a comfortable win over PSV. PSV scored first with a goal that came from a corner that should never have been. Babel equalised before the break, though, with a header from Lucas’ freekick. Riera then scored an amazing goal in the 2nd half before Ngog scored to finish the game off. Keane played really well but didn’t score. Loads of young players played including Jay Spearing, Martin Kelly and Stephen Darby.

Liverpool came back again yesterday to get another 3 points and keep their unbeaten run going. Amr Zaki scored first after a mistake from Agger but Agger made up for his mistake with a brilliant run from th back where he set up Kuyt for the equaliser. Zaki made it two with a good scissor kick before Riera equalised again after a great dummy by Gerrard and Kuyt finished Wigan off with his own scissor kick.
